As Executive Vice President of Operations, reporting to the President and Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for the integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of the firm’s operations including operations strategy, investment and trust operations, technology, risk management, and administrative functions while living the values of trust, service, excellence, and performance.

Executive Vice President of Operations Responsibilities:

  • As a Strategic Partner to the CEO and President, you will lead the implementation of the operations component of the firm’s strategic plan and be responsible for the design and delivery of cost-effective operations and administrative support. This includes a focus on the fulfillment of the firm’s client-centric strategy while balancing operational priorities and profitability.
  • As the Operations Leader, you will maintain the firm’s infrastructure with a focus on integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of operations and administration, including systems and technology. Review existing technology platforms, systems, and tools and create and build a technology roadmap over time. The role requires an in-depth understanding of capital markets, different financial instruments, and their processing requirements. This includes the design, management, and improvement of operational processes and workflow to enable quality service delivery. You will also ensure structures and operational controls are in place to support our culture of compliance, communication, continuous improvement, and support.
  • As a Leader of People, you will provide leadership, mentoring, team development, and individual employee coaching and development to inspire others to do their best work, achieve desired performance results, and build organizational capacity and capability. This includes setting expectations, holding yourself and others accountable, providing formal and informal feedback and support, and modeling the firm’s values.
  • With executive-level responsibility for Risk Management, you will provide regulatory compliance and oversight, develop, and maintain business continuity plans, and lead the way for risk identification, management, and response across the firm in coordination with the Compliance officer.

Executive Vice President of Operations Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience leading and managing the operations function of an investment management/wealth management firm of similar size and scope is required, with executive-level experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in investment advisory and trust operations, systems, compliance, and administration is required.
  • Strong financial acumen and a proven ability to lead at both the functional and firm levels.
  • Process-driven and results-oriented with the ability to think and operate both strategically and tactically.
  • Proven ability to build strong trusting relationships, collaborate across disciplines, resolve conflict, and gain commitment to shared outcomes.
  • Experience leading and developing strong teams with a focus on performance management, coaching, and employee development.
  • Demonstrated history of ethical behavior and high integrity.
